Policy champions

Policy Champions are individuals who serve as a spokesperson of a department or unit of an AFI member institution that is recognized for its outstanding work in financial inclusion policy. The Policy Champion program unlocks their knowledge and expertise by providing them with the tools and resources they need to share their experiences with their peers.

Working groups

The AFI network has launched Working Groups in several key policy areas including consumer protection, data & measurement, financial identity and mobile financial services which serve as ‘communities of practice’ on key issues and help facilitate discussions and knowledge-sharing among AFI members.

Grant program

AFI member institutions are invited to apply for grants to support peer learning and knowledge exchange study tours, technical support toward designing regulatory frameworks, and implementation of financial inclusion policies. AFI policy grants aim to support policy and regulatory initiatives in policy areas where there is evidence of success at enabling financial inclusion.
