Tanzania’s Experience in Financial Education
This presentation, Tanzania’s Experience in Financial Education, describes the country’s experience in increasing financial inclusion through improving financial literacy, one of its key demand-side barriers. As described here, the Rural & Micro Finance Technical Team of Tanzania’s Financial Sector Reform Programme was tasked to spearhead the national response to systemic illiteracy and launched a plan with components including educating stakeholders on the importance of financial education, optimizing resources and establishing mechanisms to measure progress.
