Each year, the AFI Inclusive Fintech Showcase spotlights companies which are using digital innovation to boost access to quality financial services in low-income communities. Here, we introduce you to Solé, a Fijian firm that won 2nd place at the 2025 Showcase.
Solé, a digital platform designed to help Fijian individuals, families and communities to manage their finances, now has over 29,000 registered members.
“The level of savings and investments in Fiji is fairly low, which is something that we’re trying to turn around by giving people digital tools to budget, save, and invest their funds,” says Solé’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Penioni Narube. “With Solé, customers can purchase goods at supermarkets with QR payments, and pay their utility bills. We also have a GroupWealth feature, designed to help communities work towards a communal financial goal, such as funding the education of all chuildren in a vilage.”
