The Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), in cooperation with the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), is pleased to announce the 2013 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 10-12 September 2013.

Under this year’s overarching theme, “Driving policies for optimal impact,” AFI members have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, and work together in taking the financial inclusion agenda forward.

The GPF agenda and other Forum details are currently under development. News and updates will be made available here online and the AFI Member Zone.

AFI created the GPF as a platform for central banks and other policymaking bodies in developing countries to engage in dialogue, and share knowledge and experiences in increasing access to financial services. The first GPF was held in 2009 under the theme, “Bringing smart policies to life.”

The Forum has has become the world’s most important Forum on financial inclusion, and has consistently grown along with AFI, which now represents more than 100 institutions from 87 countries.
