Bank of Papua New Guinea and AFI are organizing the 6th Annual PIRI Leaders’ Roundtable to be held virtually on 19 May 2021, 10.00AM (Papua New Guinea time).

The upcoming leader’s roundtable will provide leaders from AFI member institution in the Pacific:

• Update on the specific COVID-19 interventions and support available from AFI to support members in their recovery journey.
• Update on the progress of works undertaken by the EGFIP on the following workstreams: Pacific Island Regional de-risking action plan, fintech workstream updates and supporting climate action through financial inclusion
• Provide guidance and orientations to the EGFIP deliverables for 2021-2022
• Discuss and agree on the next host of the PIRI meeting 2022.

Additionally, the 14th Experts Group on Financial Inclusion Policy (EGFIP) meeting will be taking place on the 18 of May 2021 ahead of the Leader’s Roundtable.
