The Comision Nacional de Bancos y Seguros (CNBS) and the AFI are organizing the Meeting of the “Experts Group on Financial Inclusion Policy” (EGFIP) of the Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative (FILAC) taking place on Tuesday, 8 June 2021 followed by the AFI Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) on Scaling gender-inclusive finance and supporting women-owned and women-managed MSMES on 9 June 2021. These events will be held virtually given the unprecedented magnitude of the global crisis posed by COVID-19.

The meeting will cover discussion on priority policy themes within the LAC region with specific focus on Digital Financial Services, SME Finance, Green Inclusive Finance and Gender Inclusive Finance.  The FILAC EGFIP Virtual Meeting is open to the primary and the alternate FILAC EGFIP representatives from your institution.

The PPD on “Scaling gender-inclusive finance and supporting women-owned and women-managed MSMES” is open to technical staff from AFI Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC) member institutions. The objective of this dialogue is to share insights on the approach of financial inclusion for MSMEs and provide real-world solutions for them, considering current situation. AFI would encourage officials who are leading the development of policies related to MSME, enhance financial inclusion especially by promoting gender-inclusive finance as this would benefit them the most
