BCRA-AFI Member Training
Innovating Digital Financial Services Policies and Regulations for Financial Inclusion
Interventions in the digital financial system are leading to radical changes in the financial inclusion landscape that regulators must support by developing policies, frameworks and guidelines. Digital intervention has also brought in a diverse range of players — both financial and non-financial — into the sector, which has, in turn, made it essential to design a robust ecosystem.
Objectives
Co-hosted by Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA), this member training is open to AFI member institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean and is specifically designed to meet regional learning requirements and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to:
- Develop strategies/policies/frameworks/guidelines that foster digital finance services
- Facilitate decision-making for designing an inclusive payments and lending ecosystem
- Address key challenges in access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises
- Design interventions in financial consumer protection and financial literacy in digital finance
Who should attend?
Those who will benefit the most from this training are working to develop policies and regulations for innovative digital financial services, specifically in the national payments system, bank supervision and regulation departments or departments specifically working on the areas above indicated.
To enrich the training, participants will also be expected to share their country experiences, actively participate in the exercises and develop an action plan to be implemented as a follow up to the training.
How to register?
This event is open to AFI member institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Invitations will be sent to the head of these institutions.
