AFI is organizing on 20 and 21 July 2015 in Yamoussoukro, in the context of the implementation of the Strategic Plan of AMPI in partnership with MasterCard, a Regulatory Capacity Building Workshop for staff in AFI member institutions in Africa directly in charge of the supervision and the oversight of payment systems and/or e-money. The work is expected to:

• Help the attendees have a better understanding of the developments surrounding interoperability and interconnectivity, managing underlying technology risks and the implications of various business models on financial inclusion;
• Provide an overview of ways to ensure integrity of digital payment systems through compliance;
• Explore some of the new business models and innovations that are driving merchant acceptance in markets.
