This JLP is designed to move from a foundation of successful financial access to the next frontier: leveraging a digital ecosystem to deliver sophisticated, alternative finance for women-led MSMEs (WMSMEs). Despite remarkable success in foundational financial inclusion driven by mobile money in Africa, access to productive finance for women-led businesses remains constrained compared to men. This program will draw learnings from the journey of Lesotho and other participating institutions to build a thriving ecosystem for these businesses.
