CBSL-AFI Virtual Member Training on Implementation and Monitoring of National Financial Inclusion Strategy
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Alliance of Financial Inclusion (AFI) are co-hosting a Virtual Member Training on Implementation and Monitoring of National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
The training will be delivered through a series of three sessions, of three hours duration each. To ensure that most member institutions can join at a time convenient to them, AFI will run the same training twice during the week of 6 July 2020. At the time of registration, nominated members, will be required to choose their preferred time slot.
At the end of the training, using AFI’s NFIS Policy Model and NFIS Monitoring and Evaluation Toolkit, participants will be able to follow a step by step process of NFIS implementation and closely monitor and evaluate its progress. To enable learners to achieve this, at the end of the training they will be able to:
• Present the various successful stakeholder coordination models that have been implemented within the AFI network
• Identify the key indicators for measuring progress and results of implementation of NFIS
• List the key considerations for integrating challenging issues such as COVID-19 response, halving the gender gap, working with the youth and elderly
This virtual member training is opened to all AFI members with special focus on staff from institutions who are leading in the development, implementation, review and updating of NFIS. The training will follow AFI’s model of peer learning and will be led by technical experts from CBSL, the global AFI network and AFI Management Unit.
