What are the objectives of the training?
Co-hosted by Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV), the focus of the Joint Learning Program (JLP) will be on proportionate regulatory approaches to FinTech innovations through lessons learned from Mexico’s experience.
This JLP aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills that will enable them to:
- Understand the Mexican FinTech law and how it ensures an adequate balance between innovation, security and stability;
- Examine CNBV’s approach to regulation through sandbox for assessing and testing new FinTech innovations;
- Evaluate global and national regulatory guidance on crypto-assets; and
- Learn and leverage from participating AFI members on their FinTech regulatory framework.
Who should attend?
The training is open to middle to senior officials from AFI member organisations who are responsible for development of regulations, licensing, or supervision of technology based financial products that promote financial inclusion.
