It is our pleasure to announce that the G-24 and AFI will hold a special Policymakers’ Roundtable at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Meetings on 10 October 2018, from 18:00 – 20:00, Venue (BN-3-Singaraja 1).
This Special Roundtable will showcase the final G-24 & AFI Special Report “FinTech for Financial Inclusion: a Framework for Digital Transformation”, recently published at the AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF), to be presented by two of the lead authors of the report Professor Douglas Arner (Kerry Holdings Professor in Law, University of Hong Kong) and Professor Ross Buckley (Professor of Innovative Disruption, University of New South Wales).
The session will also highlight: G-24 and AFI members’ experience in advancing FinTech for Financial Inclusion in their own jurisdictions; areas for cross-border coordination; and next steps to be taken to implement the Sochi Accord on FinTech for Financial Inclusion adopted by the AFI Membership at the recent AGM and GPF, held on 5-7 September.
