5th Meeting of the FILAC Experts Group on Financial Inclusion Policy (EGFIP)

The Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP del Perú and Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), with the support of the International Development Research Center (IDRC), are pleased to announce the 5th meeting of the “Experts Group on Financial Inclusion Policy” (EGFIP) of the Financial Inclusion Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean (FILAC) that will take place on 25 & 26 April 2019 in Lima, Peru.

The event aims to bring together representatives from member institutions of the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region to EGFIP in order to present the developments achieved after the 4th EGFIP meeting held in Sochi last September. The event also aims to discuss the workplan and agree on next steps to move forward in implementing, and closing the Financial Inclusion Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean (FILAC). The 5th meeting will be the last FILAC EGFIP meeting before the closing of the project in June 2019.

Who should attend?

The Principal or Alternate EGFIP representative from AFI member institutions in LAC who is closely involved in the development of polices and guidelines/frameworks in relation to financial literacy and consumer protection, financial inclusion data and digital financial services, with a focus on gender.

Participants are expected to share their country experiences and actively participate in the sessions. They will be required to discuss FILAC’s action plan during the event and commit to its implementation.
