The African Mobile Phone Financial Services Policy Initiative (AMPI) in partnership with the IMF’s East African Regional Technical Assistance Center (East AFRITAC) and the Bank of Uganda will be opening a training course on agency banking to all AMPI members. The course will be conducted by a training team coming from the Bank of Tanzania and forms a part of the agreed upon regional capacity building efforts planned by AMPI to support digital financial services across Africa.
The course is open to all AMPI member countries that are either actively engaged in or planning to regulate and supervise agency banking to send up to two representatives to attend the course to be held in the Sheraton in Kampala, Uganda from November 26-28.
