Save the date and plan to join the 2011 MFW4A Partnership Forum!
The Partnership Forum, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), will gather senior-level financial sector champions, including leaders of top banks, government officials, Senior Central Bank officials, representatives of SMEs and microfinance institutions, Private sector specialists, prominent researchers and international experts.
The Partnership Forum will provide:
- A networking platform for African Financial Sector Champions from the Public and Private Sector to take stock of recent developments and discuss current Financial Sector Development Efforts in Africa;
- An opportunity to launch and present the new publication “Financing Africa: Through the crisis and beyond”, a collaborative research effort by the African Development Bank, the German Development Cooperation and the World Bank, which takes stock of recent changes and reviews the long-term development performance and direction of African finance;
- A market place to showcase innovative ideas, tools, expertise and initiatives in support of African financial sector development, and to match supply and demand for these approaches; and
- An opportunity for policy makers, private sector innovators and technical assistance providers to network with their peers, discuss their experience, exchange best practices and present innovative approaches to African finance.
