The workshop will provide the associate members the opportunity to share their experiences and identify the best practices in regulation and supervision that increases access to formal microsavings services in the Americas; establishing the basis for a regulatory and supervisory framework proposal for reference of our associate members.
This initiative originates from the importance of the access to formal microsavings services, since it can improve the living conditions of the low-income groups, and increase the economic development. The use of other informal savings alternatives increases the costs and risks of the population, extending the gap to satisfy their needs.
