NBR-AFI Regional Training on Leveraging Financial Inclusion Data and Tools to Drive Inclusive Policy Development

In collaboration with the National Bank of Rwanda (NBR), these events will be delivered in person from 3 to 6 October 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda through two components:

1. NBR-AFI Regional Training on Leveraging Financial Inclusion Data to Drive Inclusive Policy Development

The Regional Training will assess the role of Financial Inclusion Data in advancing financial inclusion policy development, facilitating oversight of digital solutions and effective monitoring and evaluation of financial inclusion initiatives in the region. The Regional Training will be anchored on AFI publications of the NFIS M&E Toolkit, Policy Framework on MSME Data Collection Framework: A Guide for Gender Inclusive Finance and Regulatory and Supervisory Technologies for Financial Inclusion. 

2. PPD Training by VISA on Giving Meaning to Digital and Financial Inclusion through Data: The Case of Acceptance

The PPD training will explore what the numbers derived from data collection initiatives mean for policy, the development of the financial system and socio-economic growth. Subject matter experts from VISA will use the case of digital payments acceptance to explore key themes and best practices related to sources of data and how to use and gain meaning from that data.
