BCEAO-AFI Virtual Member Training on Policies Supporting MSME Financing

The Alliance of Financial Inclusion (AFI) in collaboration with Banque Centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO) will organize a Virtual Member Training on Policies Supporting MSME Financing from 4th – 7th October 2021 exclusively for members of the AFI network. The training will be held for three and half hours each day for three days each in two groups, catering to participants from different regions.

This Member Training is based on AFI’s Policy Model on MSME Finance published recently in September 2021, which is endorsed as a policy document to guide members through a set of principles and the key elements to be considered in developing or reviewing their MSME finance policies.

The training aims to enable participants to design effective MSME finance policies and develop action plans that enable improved access to finance for MSMEs in their jurisdictions. Following AFI’s peer learning model, the core content of the training will be provided by participating AFI member institutions. External speakers such as AFI private partners, research, and consulting companies as well as private sector institutions will contribute to specific sessions where relevant.

The training is intended for senior officials from AFI member institutions who are working to develop policies and regulations/frameworks/guidelines for MSME finance as well as those managing COVID-19 response for MSMEs and women empowerment initiatives.

Should you have any questions regarding this workshop or how to participate, please contact Capacity.Building@afi-global.org.
