GPF 2013 | Malaysia

The Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), in cooperation with the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), held the 2013 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 10-12 September 2013.

Under this year’s overarching theme, "Driving policies for optimal impact," AFI members had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, and work together in taking the financial inclusion agenda forward.

AFI created the GPF as a platform for central banks and other policymaking bodies in developing countries to engage in dialogue, and share knowledge and experiences in increasing access to financial services. The first GPF was held in 2009 under the theme, "Bringing smart policies to life."

The Forum has become the world’s most important on financial inclusion, and has consistently grown along with AFI, which now represents more than 100 institutions from 89 countries.
