JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Officer, Human Resources (HR) is responsible to support one of the strategic HR components covering payroll, leave management, monitoring and processing of compensation, benefits, staff movements, HR portal, data, and reporting in supporting the overall organization corporate objectives. The officer handles the overall HR system application implementation encompasses of application system set up, efficient employment details maintenance for employee master data or employee digital personal information. Issuance of relevant employment related correspondence based on employee movements in relation to confirmation, transfer, relocation, end of contract or resignation. Study and review of statistical data, generate management reporting for monitoring or improvements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process effective and timely payroll function for multiple types of employment. Prepare payroll report for management’s review/approval. Track and administer various types of compensation and benefit.
- Respond and resolve queries from all levels of employees relating to payroll matters. Examine and resolve all reported discrepancies.
- Handle the HR application system implementation covering project planning, system and users’ requirements, application control, data conversion, system testing, liaison on technical support and/or periodic system upgrade.
- Plan and coordinate the roll out of application implementation, coordinate user training, monitor and report progress status.
- Provide both technical and users solutions to issues / problems, liaise with users on troubleshooting. Review feedback, request and keep track of on-going system enhancements.
- Plan, handle and coordinate all others system modular implementation or integration with other tools or mobile application.
- Provide timely and accurate master data or personal information record keeping.
- Handle various employee movements covering system application update, issuance of HR correspondents, and attend to request on management or ad-hoc reporting.
- Maintain and control the safekeeping of HR files and databases on all types of storage medium.
- Collaborate and support ad-hoc/periodic information request for due diligence or audit purpose.
- Support and participate in the preparation of staff meetings, employee engagement initiatives or other HR assignments or projects.
- Manage the respective employee communication in relation to HR portal, master data, employee movements and payroll.
- Undertake any other task and duties as directed by line manager or Head of HR.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years experiences in payroll and/or as HR generalist.
- Tech-savvy, hands-on experience with HR system application implementation and integration.
- Good knowledge or familiar with of labor law and HR best practices.
