AFI Engage program for aspiring policymakers

What is AFI Engage?

AFI Engage is a specialized, one-year leadership and mentorship program designed for aspiring policymakers in the AFI network. It aims to foster the next generation of leaders, empowering them to take forward AFI’s mission of financial inclusion and sustainable development.

15 individuals will be selected to form the 2024-2025 cohort.

Eligibility

Age: under 38 years old (at application submission deadline)

Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience. Must be a full-time employee of a paying AFI member institution.

Language skills: Proficiency in English is required. Program activities will be in English and interpretation will not be provided.

Other criteria: Participants should demonstrate leadership potential. Women policymakers are especially encouraged to apply, and the program targets 50% women participants.

Prepare the application form and required supporting documents. The application form must be endorsed by the head or deputy head of the applicant’s institution.
Completed applications must be submitted to afiengage@afi-global.org before 23:59 Malaysia time (UTC +8 hours) on Friday, 21 June 2024.
Selection process will include an interview by an independent committee of policy and technical specialists. Submission of application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
