AFI Director of Financial Inclusion Policy Anziz Attoumane will take part in the 3rd Global Islamic Finance Forum (GIFF) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 18-20 September 2012. Mr. Attoumane is scheduled to deliver a presentation on the opening day at 4 pm outlining AFI and the lessons its network can share on the advancement and acceleration of financial inclusion in Islamic communities in regard to the formulation and implementation of policy dialogue and initiatives such as mobile financial services, financial strategies and consumer protection.
GIFF 2012 is themed “Internationalisation of Islamic Finance: Bridging Economies” in recognition of the tremendous international prospects that surround the thriving Islamic finance industry. The event will feature financial industry practitioners, regulators, Shariah scholars and business communities from around the globe to discuss the prospects for Islamic finance in bridging economies and strengthening connectivity.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Securities Commission Malaysia, Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM), Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA), International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) and Bursa Malaysia.
