AFI served as a panelist during ‘The Future of Financial Inclusion Innovation’ session of the G2012 Financial Inclusion Twitter Conference organized by Ashoka Changemakers and G2012 Mexico on July 25.
Throughout the session, AFI discussed emerging trends in regard to financial inclusion and the road ahead for financial inclusion initiatives, as well as shared insights on what will shape this sector in the future. The conference reached approximately 500,000 Twitter accounts, tallied more than 38 million impressions and featured more than 150 active participants.
AFI was represented by Robin Newnham, AFI Coordinator for the G20 GPFI, and Bernadette Victorio, Project Manager. Newnham and Victorio were joined by fellow panelists from the Financial Inclusion Network and Operations Limited (FINO), the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), La Fundación de Financiamiento Rural (FUNDEFIR) and Madura Microfinance.
