Bank Negara Malaysia and AFI today unveiled an image of a “wau bulan” as the official logo for the 2013 Global Policy Forum (GPF) scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 10-12 September 2013.

The “wau bulan” is an intricately designed kite traditionally flown in Malaysia, and serves as one of the country’s national symbols. The kite itself symbolizes strength yet flexibility, stability, balance, achievement and patience.
