AFI is pleased to announce that Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will deliver a pre-recorded opening video message at the 2013 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

For those not in attendance, the speech will be broadcast via live streaming video on 11 September during the opening ceremony set to take place between 9-10 a.m. (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a strong supporter of AFI.

The AFI Global Policy Forum is the world’s largest and most significant annual meeting on financial inclusion policy issues, with senior policymakers from more than 100 developing and emerging country institutions taking part.

The 2013 GPF will be held under the overarching theme “Driving policies for optimal impact” and will provide AFI members with the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, highlight financial inclusion policy successes, and together move the global financial inclusion agenda forward.
