The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) recently hosted AFI members from Eswatini for a FinTech-focused Peer Learning Exchange.
Representatives from the Central Bank of Eswatini and the Ministry of Finance learned about CBE’s approach to FinTech, and technology’s role in advancing financial inclusion. CBE’s Central Department for FinTech and Innovation provided a comprehensive overview of the Bank’s FinTech strategy and its core pillars, including demand stimulation, regulatory frameworks, talent development, and funding for FinTech companies.
Field visits were also conducted to leading FinTech companies in the Egyptian market, as well as prominent business accelerators and incubators, to explore the innovation ecosystem and support for entrepreneurship.
The event was the latest in a series of Peer Learning Exchanges which the Central Bank of Egypt has hosted for AFI African members, designed to strengthen ties and deepen bilateral cooperation across key aspects of financial inclusion.
