Mobile services provider Comviva has partnered with NationLink– one of Somalia’s leading operators –to introduce mobile phone financial transactions within the nation.

Designed to support multiple transactional methods and allow for a variety of domestic and international money transfers and payments, the new m-Wallet package will cater to Somalia’s under-banked and unbanked population. Known as e’maal, it is the first mobile money service to launch in the region.

The fully compliant service with be available all over Somalia, benefitting from a large ecosystem of banks, money transfer operators, billers and service providers.
