The Superintendencia de Bancos (SIB) de Guatemala and AFI will co-host the seventh meeting of the Mobile Financial Services Working Group (MFSWG) on 22-24 April 2013 in Antigua, Guatemala. Policymakers and regulators will gather together to share their experiences and expertise to work on mobile financial services (MFS) policy issues.
There will be a focus on the discussion and endorsement of subgroups’ outputs and knowledge products on the core set of MFS financial inclusion indicators for access and usage, consumer protection, cross-border remittances, and supervision and oversight.
Additionally, the working group will deliberate on emerging MFS-related topics such as government-to-person (G2P) payments, as well as interconnection and interoperability. Policymakers and regulators will also discuss emerging technologies, along with new products and initiatives, with private sector stakeholders and other external partners.
