AFI Working Groups represent leadership, innovation and focus on thematic financial inclusion policy areas that AFI actively promotes. The translation and implementation are undertaken at the regional levels through the Regional Initiatives.

The new roles of working groups enhanced the role of AFI as a global financial inclusion policy leadership organisation by providing systematic guidance for devising financial inclusion policies and regulations.
