Since 2008, the IKI has supported over 1,000 climate and biodiversity projects in approximately 150 partner countries with a total of almost 7.5 billion euros.
IKI concentrates its activities in four areas:
- Mitigating GHG emissions
- Adapting to climate change
- Natural carbon sinks
- Conserving biological diversity
You can learn more about IKI’s work on its website.
NB: IKI’s independent complaint mechanism is intended to enable people who suffer (potential) negative social and/or environmental consequences from IKI projects, or who wish to report the improper use of funds, to voice their complaints and seek redress. AFI members and stakeholders may also use this independent channel to raise concerns, should the need arise.
