Under the Australian G20 Presidency and in cooperation with the Institute of International Finance (IIF) a high level policy dialogue with public and private sector leaders will take place in Sydney, 20-21 February 2014. For the first time, the role of the private sector will be the primary focus.
Members of AFI including Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. (Central Bank of the Philippines), Governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul (Bank of Thailand), Governor Agus Martowardojo (Bank Indonesia), Deputy Governor Luiz Pereira da Silva (Central Bank of Brazil), Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs Ali Babacan (Republic of Turkey) are expected to speak during the two days.
As a key G20 Global Policy for Financial Inclusion implementing partner participating in the meeting, AFI Executive Director, Dr. Alfred Hannig, will speak on “The Role of the Private Financial Sector Community in Supporting the G20 Development Agenda: Financial Inclusion.”
