Bank Negara Malaysia has received an AFI Honorary Recognition award, in celebration of the Bank’s outstanding contribution to the AFI network. 

During the AFI Global Policy Forum in Namibia, Bank Negara Malaysia Assistant Governor, Suhaimi Ali received the award from AFI CEO, Dr Alfred Hannig, and AFI Chair, Gov. Soraya M. Hakuziyaremye.

“For the last decade, Malaysia has been AFI’s home, and the ideal home,” said Dr Hannig. “Bank Negara went the extra mile to welcome AFI to Kuala Lumpur, putting together a compelling and very generous proposal, which included the full backing of the Malaysian government. Since 2015, Bank Negara’s support has allowed AFI to grow and thrive, and to build a vibrant financial inclusion knowledge hub within the world-class facilities at Sasana Kijang.”
