Closing Remarks by Norbert Mumba, Deputy Executive Director, AFI

Ms. Armi Stephanie Treñas, President and Principal Consultant from Learning and Performance Partners Inc.,

Special representatives from AFI member institutions,

Colleagues from BNM,

Colleagues from AFI,

Welcome to the closing session of the BNM – AFI Member Training on Instructional Strategies. I understand that you have had a good training as I have receiving good feedback through the week.

This is not a training that was demanded by members directly through the Member Needs Assessment, or through any other evaluation mechanism. But related feedback on AFI events led us to believe that revisiting the design and delivery of our content was required. And we hope this training was very timely, as we get ready for our events on 2018.

Following this, AFI events should take a leap in quality. Events I hope will identify member needs more effectively leading to enhanced higher focus on the impact of the events and thus on long term changes.

As I mentioned in my opening remarks, each one of you have been handpicked for this special event. The onus is now on you to ensure that you share the learning with others in your team, both in AFI and in the member institutions. Please also share your detailed feedback as it will help us deciding on the next steps.

Please convey our sincere appreciation to the top management of your institutions who not only approved your participation in this event, but also committed to your long-term engagement in the design and delivery of AFI events. The training we hope has provided you the right knowledge and skills to be able to deliver effectively on these commitments.

Thank you Ms. Armi Stephanie Treñas, for leading the learning for this week. We are indeed very happy about our selection of LPPI as the technical partner for this event.

Thanks to my AFI team also for actively participating in the training with all seriousness. I know you had to cope up with the daily commitments and the training schedule.

Our sincere appreciation to BNM for your continued support for each event.

Thanks to the Capacity Building team for pulling this event together.

I wish you all a safe journey back home.
