Peer Advisory Service on Implementing National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS)

Peer Advisory Service on Implementing National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS)

What are the objectives of the Peer Advisory Service (PAS)?

The objective of AFI’s PAS is to provide hand-holding support to selected AFI members to develop expertise in order to implement specific financial inclusion goals. This event is designed for selected AFI member institutions that have shown significant commitment to develop and implement NFIS, scale up financial inclusion and requested in-depth technical support on specific aspects of NFIS implementation.

The PAS will focus on:

  • Setting up a financial inclusion department within the Central Bank
  • Forming cross departmental working groups to develop and implement NFIS
  • Setting up national coordination mechanisms
  • Monitoring progress in implementation

Who should attend?

Senior level officials who are at the forefront of leading the implementation of NFIS will benefit from this five-day classroom training. The training will consist of interactive sessions with active stakeholders of Nigeria’s NFIS. At the end of the event, participants are expected to develop detailed follow up proposals for their respective institutions.

How to register?

Invitation for nominations have been emailed to AFI focal points of selected AFI member institutions. Feel free to get in touch with us at Capacity.Building@afi-global.org if you have any questions.
