AFI 2022 Global Policy Forum – Moving forward together: Towards a resilient, inclusive and sustainable future

More than 600global policy-makers, regulatory institutions, and development partners, from 102 countries to gather at the Dead Sea- Jordan for the World’s largest financial inclusion gathering.

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) will hold the 2022 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) on 7th & 8th September 2022 under the theme of “Moving forward together: Towards a resilient, inclusive and sustainable future”.

AFI members, together with partners and stakeholders from all 6 continents, are meeting in person, bringing a wide variety of voices on financial inclusion beyond the pandemic. Prior to the Forum, a series of closed meetings exclusively for AFI members are taking place earlier in the week including the meetings of AFI working groups, regional initiatives, as well as AFI Annual General Meeting. Last time, AFI members and partners convened in Kigali, Rwanda in 2019.

The 2022 GPF will highlight solutions to financial inclusion goals beyond the pandemic and look forward into the future. Deliberations will address the contemporary financial regulations, in addition to monetary and financial stability objectives, and will also underline the financial inclusion, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic recovery, rebuilding and growth.

Press conference

Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) will hold a joint press conference on Sunday 4 September 2022 at 10:00 at the CBJ’s headquarters on the 2022 Global Policy Forum (GPF) to be held on the shores of the Dead Sea from 6 – 8 September 2022.

The Governor of CBJ Adel Al Sharkas and the Executive Director of AFI Dr. Alfred Hannig will share an overall view on the forum and the topics to be discussed and open the floor to media interviews and questions.
